Sonu Sood has created a distinct identity in the film industry on the strength of his hard work and dedication. Sonu, who played the role of a strong villain in films, has emerged as a messiah in real life. His journey is inspiring not only in acting but also for humanity. Sonu, who hails from Punjab, was studying engineering in Nagpur, when he got inclined towards acting through modeling. He started his career with Tamil films in 1999, then he made a name in the South with the 2000 Telugu film 'Hands Up' and 'Super' in 2005. His popularity as a villain grew rapidly in the South.

His entry into Bollywood was with 'Shaheed-e-Azam' (2002), in which he played the role of Bhagat Singh. Films like 'Yuva' and 'Aashiq Banaya Aapne' strengthened his image. He played strong roles in films like 'Jodha Akbar', 'Dabangg'. Sonu Sood also proved himself at the international level when he worked with Jackie Chan in 'Kung Fu Yoga' (2017). In 2025, he became a director and made his directorial debut with the film 'Fateh'. In this, he also appeared in the lead role and talked about donating the earnings of the film to the poor.

During the Covid period, Sonu safely transported thousands of migrant laborers to their homes. Made arrangements from trains to buses and he was always seen standing for every needy.
