Mohit Suri's directorial film Saiyaara, released on July 18, is in tremendous discussion among the audience these days. The new pair of Ahaan Pandey and Aneet Padda in the film is getting a lot of love from the audience. So far the film has earned more than Rs 247 crore and it is expected to cross the 250 crore mark soon.
However, initially this pair was not the first choice for the film. According to reports, the makers had first approached Siddharth Malhotra and Kiara Advani for this film. Both of them had given a brilliant performance in Shershaah, inspired by which they were selected for Saiyaara. But due to some reasons, this thing could not move forward. After this, Aditya Chopra suggested the names of Ahaan Pandey and Aneet Padda to director Mohit Suri.
Recently Mohit Suri revealed that he first wanted to cast famous stars in this film. But Aditya Chopra advised him that this story demands new faces and it cannot be made with big stars. When Mohit Suri asked who would take such a big risk in this era, Aditya Chopra replied that he himself would take this risk.
The film earned 21.5 crores on the first day of its release, and its collection reached 172 crores in the first week. It is believed that the ever-increasing success of Saiyyara may affect the earnings of many upcoming films.
