Preet Re from Dhadak 2: A Soulful celebration of Modern Love - Song Out Now

After winning hearts with the trailer and the soulful title track Bas Ek Dhadak, Dhadak 2 now gifts audiences yet another melody to cherish – Preet Re. The newest song from the much-awaited intense love story starring Siddhant Chaturvedi and Triptii Dimri is a celebration of love. Capturing the joy, innocence, and heartbeat of first love with an infectious charm.

A perfect blend of soul and simplicity, Preet Re radiates the pulse of romance. With heartfelt lyrics like “Dhadkan yeh hi kehti hai, dil mein tu hi rehti hai”, the song beautifully expresses the feeling of someone quietly becoming your Dhadak - your heartbeat. Its melodic tune, relatable verses, and light-hearted, flirtatious visuals reflect moments every lover will connect with, making it a track that fits seamlessly into both new and timeless love stories.

Sung by Darshan Raval, Rochak Kohli, and Jonita Gandhi, with music composed by Rochak Kohli and lyrics penned by Gurpreet Saini, Preet Re carries forward the Dhadak legacy - a musical continuation that brings back the magic of Dhadak with a twist.

Sharing his thoughts about the song, Darshan Raval said, “Preet Re is not just a melody, it’s a feeling. It’s about that quiet, beautiful moment when you realise someone means the world to you. It was an incredible experience working on the song.”

Echoing the sentiment, Jonita Gandhi added, “There’s an innocence to first love, and that’s what we’ve tried to bring alive with this song. I hope listeners feel as connected to it as we felt while singing.”

Talking about composing the song, Rochak Kohli shared, “With Preet Re, I wanted to blend simplicity with sincerity. It’s a song that celebrates pure, honest love without trying too hard – just like first love itself., and I am overjoyed with how it has turned out to be.”

Directed by Shazia Iqbal and produced by Karan Johar, Umesh Kumar Bansal, Adar Poonawalla, Apoorva Mehta, Meenu Aroraa, Somen Mishra, and Pragati Deshmukh under the banners of Dharma Productions, Zee Studios, and Cloud 9 Pictures, Dhadak 2 is set to release in cinemas on August 1, 2025.
