The trailer of Diljit Dosanjh, Neeru Bajwa and Pakistani actress Hania Aamir's film 'Sardar Ji 3' was released on Sunday. This film is of horror-comedy genre, but its trailer has created controversy as soon as it was released. Actually, after the recent Pahalgam terrorist attack, Pakistani artists have been banned in India. Under this, Instagram accounts of many Pakistani stars have also been closed in India. In such a situation, after seeing Hania Aamir in the trailer, the audience has expressed displeasure and started demanding a boycott of the film.
There is a tremendous reaction against the film on social media. One user wrote, "Country comes first, this was not expected from Diljit." While another wrote, "After Pahalgam, it was sad to see Diljit comfortable with Pakistani artists." Many users clearly said that they will not watch this film and hashtags like #BoycottSardarJi3 started trending.
In view of this controversy, the makers of the film have clarified that 'Sardar Ji 3' will not be released in India. The film will be released only overseas on June 27. Diljit Dosanjh also shared the trailer on social media and wrote, "Sardar Ji 3 releasing only overseas on 27th June, Phadh Lao Bhond Diya Latan."
The studio has also said in an official statement, "The release of the film in India has been postponed for now. A new date will be announced soon." The special thing is that the trailer of this film is also not available on YouTube in India. When Indian users try to play it, a message pops up – "This video is not available in your country." Amid Indo-Pak tensions, the film is facing growing controversy due to the presence of Hania Aamir.
