The fifth installment of Sajid Nadiadwala's superhit comedy franchise Housefull 5 is making a splash at the box office. Directed by Tarun Mansukhani, the film earned a lot in the first week itself, proving that the audience is liking this multi-starrer masala film a lot. This film, starring 19 stars led by Akshay Kumar, has so far earned 140.18 crores net and 165.41 crores gross in India. Talking about worldwide earnings, Housefull 5 has so far recorded a total global box office collection of 212.76 crores.

The film had a great opening, earning 24.35 crores in India on the first day itself. These figures increased further over the weekend and by Sunday, 91.83 crores net had been earned in India. The film's hold remained intact even during the weekdays, especially the drop on Monday and Tuesday was less than expected. The enthusiasm of the audience continued on Wednesday and Thursday as well and it crossed a total India net collection of 133.58 crore in the first week. The second week started with a collection of 6.60 crore on Friday, and its total gross at the worldwide box office reached 212.76 crore.

It is worth noting that Housefull 5 is the only franchise in Indian cinema that has got a fifth part. The story of the film, full of comedy, mystery and glamour, has been successful in drawing the audience to the theatres. Produced by Sajid Nadiadwala, the film is currently running successfully in theatres and its collection is likely to increase in the second week as well.
