Rohit Saraf opens up about ‘Ishq Vishk Rebound’ and following Shahid Kapoor's legacy

Shahid Kapoor’s 2003 film 'Ishq Vishk' was a pivotal moment in his career, earning him the title of Bollywood’s chocolate boy. Now, the iconic movie is getting a revamp titled 'Ishq Vishk Rebound,' featuring Pashmina Roshan, Rohit Saraf, Naila Grewal, and Jibraan Khan in the lead roles, stepping into the shoes of the original cast.

At the song launch on May 21st, Rohit Saraf addressed questions about the pressure of starring in this beloved franchise. Saraf expressed that, rather than feeling pressured, he feels immense gratitude for the opportunity. “I feel like this is an opportunity that not many people get and I don't want to dilute that by putting that kind of pressure on myself,” the 'Mismatched' star shared.

Saraf clarified that 'Ishq Vishk Rebound' is neither a remake nor a sequel but a new story that belongs to the same franchise. “It's a love story that talks about a lot of things that Gen Z goes through, which is why it's exciting,” he explained.

Despite frequently being asked about the pressure, Saraf joked that he might start feeling some. He also revealed that he has not yet had the chance to speak with Shahid Kapoor about the film or in general.
