Ramayan fame Arun Govil, debutante Kangana Ranaut to 'Vanvas returned' Govinda, Bollywood celebrities contesting Lok Sabha Elections 2024

The Lok Sabha Elections 2024 are about to begin across the country. The voting will occur in 7 phases, starting on April 19 and ending on June 1. The election results will declared on June 4. Political parties released their respective lists of candidates contesting the elections from different corners of India. This year, several Bollywood celebrities will be in the race to win a seat in their respective constituency. 

From Kangana Ranaut's political foray with the Bharatiya Janta Party to Govinda's return with Shiv Sena (Eknath Shinde-led), the Lok Sabha Elections 2024 is about to get grander and thrilling as celebrities fight, not for box office collections but political seats and victory.

Hema Malini

Hema Malini will be contesting the Lok Sabha 2024 elections from Mathura. Narendra Modi-led Bharatiya Janta Party gave her the ticket for the third time. In 2019, Hema retained her Mathura seat with 6,71,293 votes. She defeated Congress candidate, Mahesh Pathak, who got 28,084 votes. 

Shatrughan Sinha

Veteran actor-politician Shatrughan Sinha will be contesting elections on Trinamool's ticket in Asansol, West Bengal. In 2019, he lost the Patna Sahib seat to Union Law Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad with a margin of 2,84,657 votes.

Arun Govil

Popularly known for playing the role of Shri Ram in Ramanand Sagar's iconic TV show, Ramayan, Arun Govil will be contesting the Lok Sabha elections from Meerut, his hometown. He is a part of the ruling party, Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP). 

Kangana Ranaut

Amid anticipation, Kangana Ranaut got a ticket from the Bharatiya Janta Party and will be contesting from her hometown Mandi. Announcing her political debut, she tweeted, "My beloved Bharat and Bhartiya Janta’s own party, Bharatiya Janta party ( BJP) has always had my unconditional support, today the national leadership of BJP has announced me as their Loksabha candidate from my birth place Himachal Pradesh, Mandi (constituency) I abide by the high command’s decision on contesting Loksabha polls. I feel honoured and elated to officially join the party. I look forward to be a worthy karyakarta and a reliable public servant. Thanks."

Govinda

Govinda made his political comeback by joining the ruling Shiv Sena in the presence of Maharashtra CM Eknath Shinde in Mumbai. The actor was a part of Congress previously. He returned to politics after 14 years. Govinda is expected to contest elections from Mumbai North West seat.

Ravi Kishan

Renowned Bhojpuri and Hindi actor and politician, Ravi Kishan will be contesting elections from Uttar Pradesh's Gorakhpur seat. He was last seen in the Netflix project, Maamla Legal Hai. 

Suresh Gopi

Suresh Gopi, a renowned actor, politician, playback singer and television presenter, will be contesting the Lok Sabha elections from Kerala's Thrissur this year.

Raadhika Sarathkumar

Raadhika Sarathkumar will be contesting elections from Virudhnagar. 

Manoj Tiwari

Manoj Tiwari will be contesting from his Northeast Delhi seat with the Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) this year as well. He has been holding the seat since 2014.

Pawan Singh

Popular Bhojpuri artiste, Pawan Singh, will be competing for the Asansol seat with Shatrughan Sinha. He's representing the seat through BJP's ticket.
