The period drama tells the story of Usha Mehta who actively supported the Quit India movement through the medium of her underground radio station.
As Ae Watan Mere Watan climbs the viewership chart and holds the top position, Mahatma Gandhi's great-grandson, Tushar Gandhi, lauded the film and praised Sara for bringing Usha Mehta alive.
