Annoyed Anurag Kashyap says he wasted time trying to help newcomers, declares he'll charge money: I am not a charity

Anurag Kashyap, once and for all, lashed out at newcomers for reaching out to him and seeking his guidance for free. In an Instagram post, the filmmaker took a dig at mediocre talents and issued a 'rate card' for those who desire to interact with him.

His statement read, "I wasted a lot of time trying to help newcomers and mostly ended up with mediocre s**t. So Now onwards I don’t want to waste my time with meeting random people who think they’re creative geniuses. So I will now have rates. If someone wants to meet me for 15 minutes I will charge Rs I lakh, for half-hour Rs 2 lakh, and for 1 hour Rs 5 lakh. That’s the rate. I am tired of wasting time meeting people. If you really think you can afford it, call me or stay the f**k away. And all paid in advance."

Sharing the note, Anurag wrote, "And I mean it Don’t text or dm or call me. Pay and you will get time. I am not a charity and I am tired of people looking for shortcuts."

Workwise, Anurag's last directorial was Almost Pyaar with DJ Mohabbat in 2023. He acted in various films last year including Leo and Haddi. The filmmaker will return to the big screen with Sunny Leone and Rahul Bhat's Kennedy.
