After Surviving Heart Attack, Shreyas Talpade Grateful for Bonus Time and Support from Akshay Kumar and Co-Stars on International Day of Happiness

During the filming of 'Welcome To The Jungle,' Shreyas Talpade finds solace in enjoying a homemade lunch within his vanity van, as the special shoot for International Day of Happiness commences.

His return to work follows a severe heart attack in December 2023, a shocking event that left loved ones and admirers stunned. Renowned for bringing laughter to millions through his comedic performances, Talpade now sets out on a quest to rediscover happiness amidst his journey.

Previously, happiness to me meant simply putting a smile on my face. Now, I realize it's more about feeling content. Whether it's spending time with family, the nature of your work, your earnings, or the destinations you travel to... sometimes, despite being in different corners of the globe, happiness eludes you. Yet, there are moments when you find joy in the comfort of your own home. Reflecting on my life experiences, I am genuinely thankful for all that has come my way," shares the 48-year-old actor.

He expresses that he's currently living on what he calls "bonus time." Talpade humorously remarks, "The happiness I'm experiencing now is an extra treat for me, following my health scare. Every moment since that incident is like a bonus for me. I'm simply grateful, and why shouldn't I be happy? What reason do I have to complain or ask for more from God? He bestowed upon me the greatest gift of all - the gift of life, not once, but twice - first when my mother held me in her arms, and second when my wife helped me through."

The actor mentions that his wife, Deepti, is still grappling with the trauma. "I was unaware of the gravity of the situation in the aftermath of the attack; she was experiencing it firsthand. It will require some time before we can begin to forge new memories together," he says with a smile.

Speaking about his extended family on set, he expresses gratitude for their kindness, stating, "From the spotboys to the biggest stars like Akki bhai (Akshay Kumar), everyone has been incredibly supportive. Raveena (Tandon), my co-star, embraced me tightly on set, remarking, 'There are better ways to seek attention and love, this isn't one of them! You really scared us!' I apologized sincerely. Their joy at seeing me back on set is palpable. Sometimes, people receive more love and recognition after they've passed away. I consider myself fortunate to experience such warmth and affection in my lifetime."
