Art director Nitin Desai who is best known for his work in the film Lagaan and has been a receiver of several awards during his career.
Nitin was found dead last year, aged 57.
The reports further mentioned that he committed suicide as he was falling into a financial debt which forced him to take such step.
As the 96th Oscars recently took place, the art director was paid tribute to during the Memoriam segment at the award ceremony.
He has been a receiver of four national awards and is known for his collaboration with the director Sanjay Leela Bhansali. He died in August last year.
