Varun Dhawan married his childhood sweetheart, Natasha Dalal, in a grand yet intimate ceremony in Alibaug on January 24, 2021. In the presence of family members and close industry friends, they took the holy seven vows. Today, they complete 3 years of marriage.
On this occasion, Varun shared an unseen picture from his proposal day. It appeared that they were on a vacation when he proposed to her. His caption read, "Happy 3 baby #tbt 3 and half years back when I proposed while Mark Anthony's song played (sic)."
In an interview with a radio channel, Varun had previously mentioned that Natasha rejected him multiple times before agreeing. He said, "The first time I met Natasha was in the sixth standard. We have not been dating since then. We were friends till the eleventh or twelfth grade. We were very close friends. I still remember, we went to Maneckji Cooper, she was in the yellow house and I was in the red house. It was on the basketball court. So, in the lunch break, in the canteen, they give you food and an energy drink. I remember her walking. I remember seeing her and actually, when I saw her that day, I felt like I fell in love with her. That was it." He added, "She rejected me three-four times."
