Dabboo Ratnani recalls Hrithik Roshan's first portfolio shoot: I was blown away

Hrithik Roshan debuted back in 2000 with the film Kaho Na Pyaar Hai which turned out to be a successful venture and resulted in a massive fan following for the actor. Currently, the actor is gearing up for his upcoming film Fighter which will also feature Deepika Padukone and Anil Kapoor and is set to release on January 25. In a recent interview, celebrity photographer Dabboo Ratnani went on to talk about his first shoot with Hrithik and revealed that the actor didn't share his identity with the photographer. He mentioned that he got a call way before his debut film was made from Hrithik who just requested a portfolio to be made.

Dabboo said, “I helped him to get the clothes because he didn’t have everything ready and wanted to do the shoot quickly. He reminded me that I was his school senior, I remembered him then. He asked if he could pay me two-three days after the shoot, I agreed and said no stress.”

He further shared that they were planning to do an outdoor shoot but it started raining heavily and although Dabboo suggested shooting on the other day, Hrithik insisted on shooting on the same day. Dabboo's studio was going through renovation at that time but he still took the actor as he wasn't ready to shoot on a different day. He added, "I was feeling bad taking him to this shoddy building with leaking roofs! Water was dripping where we were shooting, he was changing behind the backdrop.

Dabboo then said that he knew from the first shot that Hrithik was a star. He said, “I didn’t even know he was Rakesh Roshan’s son. He didn’t tell me, he told me his name was Hrithik and that’s it. The way he was posing! The confidence, and expression he was giving for the first portfolio of his life, I was blown away! When I told him he was too good he was very happy!”
