Singer Ankit Tiwari recently took to his Twitter handle to announce that he won’t be going for a pre-planned family trip to Maldives and in fact, is now planning to visit Lakshadweep Island. Taking to his Twitter handle, he wrote, "Plans changed! I with my wife and daughter were about to visit Maldives but we came across a rather better and an unexplored island in our very own country Lakshadweep Island. #ExploreIndianIslands."

He further added, "As soon as Aarya came across the pictures and videos from the place she immediately wanted to visit the blissful blue beaches and we just can’t wait to sail there soon. #ExploreIndianIslands."

Another tweet read, "Why shell out for a destination which doesn’t respect the PM of the country which give them maximum tourism every year more over security and military assistance too, when your own motherland offers you such immaculate, scenic wonders of nature. #ExploreIndianIslands."

In the last few days, many celebrities came forward to support Indian tourism and urged people to explore the places in India rather than going out. Recently, Prime Minister Narendra Modi also visited Lakshadweep Island and uploaded photos of the same which fascinated the public, and comments about it being an even better place than much popular Maldives surfaced.
