Shah Rukh Khan and Rajkumar Hirani’s first collaboration Dunki which released last year has been a successful venture and continues getting praise. Not just across India but the film has been getting a positive response from all over the world and was even screened at the grand hall of Le Grand Rex in Paris.

Now, if the latest reports are to be believed, the makers of the film are planning to submit it for Oscars. If it turns to be true, Dunki will become the third film of Shah Rukh to be submitted after Swades (2004) and Paheli (2005). 

Official confirmation is yet awaited. 

Directed by Rajkumar Hirani, Dunki had its worldwide release on December 21, 2023. Alongside Shah Rukh, it also features Taapsee Pannu, Vikram Kochhar, Boman Irani, Vicky Kaushal and  Anil Grover. The film follows the  story of illegal migrants who opt for illegal routes to reach first-world countries in search of better opportunities.
