Ahead of Hrithik Roshan’s birthday, here are top 10 less known facts about the actor

The Greek God of Bollywood aka Hrithik Roshan is going to turn 50 tomorrow. Known for his versatility in every field, he is surely one of the finest actors in the film industry and continues to win the hearts of his fans. 

On the occasion of his birthday, let's go back down the timeline and delve into some less-known facts about the actor. Starting with his debut film to some unknown talents that he has.

Hrithik's debut film wasn't Kaho Naa... Pyaar Hai: The actor is known for his role in Kaho Naa... Pyaar Hai (2000) where he starred opposite Ameesha Patel. Although he won hearts with his acting and went on to become a 'favorite' of many, it wasn't his debut. Hrithik made his acting debut with the film Aasha back in 1980 in which he worked as a child artist. 

Hrithik worked as an assistant director: Not just an actor but he also worked as an assistant director in four films directed by his father Rakesh Roshan. Twice with Shah Rukh Khan in Koyla (1997) and Karan Arjun (1995), with Anil Kapoor in Khel (1992) and Khudgarz (1987) which featured Govinda, Neelam Kothari and Shatrughan Sinha.

Hrithik used to stammer in childhood but with a lot of hard work and dedication he managed to overcome it. The actor was also diagnosed with Scoliosis post which doctors said that he won't be able to dance anymore but it didn't stop him. 


Hrithik used to serve tea to stars and even sweep the floor at the shooting for his father Rakesh Roshan’s films

The actor notably turned down Dil Chahta Hai, Swades, Lagaan, Main Hoon Na, Bunty Aur Babli, and Rang De Basanti, all the films became blockbusters.

 

Hrithik uses a different cologne for each character he plays in films and then never uses it again. For the reason that if he needs to remember to play a particular character, the specific cologne helps him focus.

Hrithik loved cycling and even participated in the state-level BMX championship at the under-15 level.

Hrithik worked with Rajinikanth in the film Bhagwaan Dada at the age of 10.

Hrithik used to throw empty bottles to test gravity: In childhood, the actor was fascinated by the way gravity changed the trajectory of objects falling from a height. Observing the same, he would throw empty beer bottles from the building terrace on the passersby’s.

Hrithik learned horse riding and sword fighting for his film Jodhaa Akbar (2008). He also became a certified scuba diver for his role in Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara(2011).


On the work front, he is currently preparing for his upcoming release Fighter which is directed by Siddharth Anand and will feature Deepika Padukone and Anil Kapoor in the lead along with the actor. It will also be the first time Hrithik and Deepika will be seen on-screen together.
