Katrina Kai is all set for her upcoming film Merry Christmas where she will star opposite Vijay Sethupathi the trailer of which has already excited the audience. In a recent interview, the actress was asked about her first impression of Vijay Sethupathi who was also recently seen in Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan.

Katrina said, “I had recently seen a picture of Vijay sir in which he had white hair and a white beard. It’s a picture that comes a lot on the internet. So, I had always seen him that way. When I walked into the office, I didn’t know quite well what to expect. When I saw him like in a different way, I was like, ‘Oh wow, that’s a very different look!'”

In the same interview, the actress also shared about the takeaways she got from the director and her co-star.

She said, “I was extremely excited to be working with Sriram sir and Vijay sir. When we came together in a room, we came just as themselves and we instantly were able to connect. The minute Vijay sir started speaking about the scene, it was fascinating for me. I thought, ‘This is a person who views things in such a unique way.’ Sriram sir has a very unique take on everything he does including the way he sees stories and people. We came together to find a rhythm and our own way of working and bringing the script to life.”

Directed by Sriram Raghavan, Merry Christmas will have its release on January 12 this year.
