Ahead of the release of Dunki, the makers unveiled the new song titled Banda in Drop 6. Diljit Dosanjh is the singer and it introduces Shah Rukh Khan's character, Hardy. The song received a thumbs-up from fans and will soon be a chartbuster. Amid this, Shah Rukh penned a note for Diljit thanking him for Banda.
Sharing the song on his X account, Diljit wrote, "One & Only KING @iamsrk “ DUNKI “ FIRST DAY FIRST SHOW OYE.. BANDA SONG (song)." Replying to the same, Shah Rukh wrote, "Paaji @diljitdosanjh you are the coolest. You have always shown so much love to me and been kind. Full full Punjabiyon ki fitrat hai aap mein!! Hum Dil mange aap se, toh aap jaan lekar haazir ho jaate ho!!! Big jhappi!!"

Dunki also stars Boman Irani, Taapsee Pannu, Vicky Kaushal, Vikram Kochhar, and Anil Grover. A JIO Studios, Red Chillies Entertainment, and Rajkumar Hirani Films presentation, produced by Rajkumar Hirani and Gauri Khan, written by Abhijat Joshi, Rajkumar Hirani, and Kanika Dhillon, the film is slated to release on December 21, 2023.
