Tujhse Naraz Nahi Zindagi singer Anup Ghoshal passes away in Kolkata, aged 78

Iconic playback singer Anup Ghoshal passed away on December 15. Aged 78, he died after being hospitalized in south Kolkata on getting a multiple organ failure. Known for his songs Tujhse Naraz Nahin Zindagi, Nam Kirtan and Tumi Chirodin to name a few, he was also active in public service. 

Anup entered politics back in the year of 2011 after he won assembly polls from Uttarpara on the Trinamool Congress ticket. On getting to know about his demise, Chief Minister of West Bengal Mamata Banerjee also expressed her condolence as she said, “I express my deep grief and condolence over the death of Anup Ghosal who had sung in Bengali, Hindi and other languages.”

For the unversed, he was nominated by her to contest in the elections of 2011.
