Prateik Babbar debuted back in 2008 with Abbas Tyrewala’s directorial Jaane Tu Yaa Jaane Na which also featured Imran Khan and Genelia D’Souza. Post which actor had many ups and downs in his acting career. Following, Prateik got married to Sanya Sagar in 2019, but both got divorced earlier this year.
In a recent interview, the actor went on to talk about his separation and mentioned the factors that have been responsible for the same. Prateik said, “I think it is extremely important to figure each other out before you jump into a marriage or something concrete. It (The marriage) was rushed. There was some family pressure. I was 32, and I wanted to have kids by 35.”
He further continued, “We thought we would figure out love and compatibility on our way. It doesn’t work like that. You need to figure out everything before. Emotional frustrations led to bad choices and decisions. I felt betrayed in my marriage. But if that marriage had not failed, I wouldn’t have met the woman in my life today.”
Prateik and Sanya married on January 23 back in 2019. The news of their divorce surfaced earlier this year in January. The actor is currently in a relationship with the actress Priya Banerjee and both have been dating for 3 years.
