It’s been a while since the news about Kartik Aaryan being in Aashiqui 3 came out. Talking about the same, Aditya Roy Kapur, who recently appeared on Karan Johar’s show Koffee with Karan Season 8 alongside Arjun Kapoor, went on to praise Kartik calling him the perfect choice for the role.

Aditya said, “I think he is the perfect person to take the baton forward.”

He further added, “There was no chance I could be in this because in the second part my character went for a long swim, from which he is not returning.” 

The previous installment Aashiqui 2 released in 2013 featuring Aditya and Shraddha Kapoor and was a massive success at the box office. In fact both the actors, got immense fame after the film’s release. There has also been news about Tara Sutaria playing opposite Kartik in the upcoming film, Aashiqui 3, but there has been no official confirmation as of now.
