Jaya Bachchan fulfills nani duties by attending Agastya Nanda's The Archies premiere, asks paps 'don't shout'

The Archies premiere at Mumbai's state-of-the-art Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre (NMACC) exuded vibrance with stars walking the red carpet. The Zoya Akhtar-directed musical has young talents like Suhana Khan, Agastya Nanda, Khushi Kapoor, Dot, Vedang Raina, Mihir Ahuja and Yuvraj Menda headlining it. Family members of the star cast graced the event as their loudest cheerleaders.

Agastya Nanda, the grandson of Jaya and Amitabh Bachchan, plays the titular role of Archie Andrews in The Archies. Making a rare appearance were the veteran actors. As proud grandparents, they extended their good wishes and blessings to the rising new actor. The Archies premiere was a paparazzi-friendly event and considering Mrs. Bachchan's bitter-sweet equation with the photographers, the veteran actor ended up giving them an earful.

In a viral video, the paparazzi can be seen making out loud calls to Mrs. Bachchan to grab her attention for pictures. While she politely obliged them by posing with Tina Ambani, the Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani actor instructed the bunch of paps not to shout. Making gestures of covering an ear due to excessive noise, Mrs. Bachchan said, "Don't shout."

Amitabh Bachchan, Abhishek Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Aaradhya Bachchan were with her at The Archies premiere. Agastya's parents, Shweta Bachchan and Nikhil Nanda were present. Navya Naveli Nanda attended the premiere to cheer for her brother.
