Akshay Kumar is returning to the Housefull franchise with its fifth installment. While Riteish Deshmukh has been confirmed to join him, the remaining cast is yet to be locked. The comedy drama was scheduled to release on Diwali 2024. However, Housefull 5 is postponed to June 6, 2025.
The makers of Housefull 5 shared an official statement today and stated the reason behind the delay. It read, "The Housefull franchise owes its massive success to the audiences, and we hope for a similar reception for Housefull 5. The team has crafted an absolutely mind-blowing story that demands top-notch VFX. Therefore, we've made the decision to push the release to ensure we deliver five times the entertainment with great cinematic experience. Housefull 5 will now be releasing on 6th June 2025."
Housefull 5 will be directed by Tarun Mansukhani and will add sparkle to Diwali in 2024. The film is bankrolled under Sajid Nadiadwala's NGE.
In a statement, Sajid revealed Housefull 5 will be shot in the UK. He shared, "My journey in the film world has always been about giving the best movie experience to our audience.
