Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s directorial Kabir Singh which released back in the year of 2019 featuring Shahid Kapoor and Kiara Advani in the lead has received massive response and went on to become one of the most successful films of the year. And although everyone loved Shahid’s acting in the film. The director recently opened up that the actor wasn’t the first choice and in fact he initially wanted to cast Ranveer Singh in the film.
Sandeep said, “I was continuously getting calls from Mumbai to do the remake. First, it was pitched to Ranveer Singh. I wanted to do it with him. But finally, he decided he will not do it, because it was too dark for him at that time.”
Meanwhile, Sandeep’s next directorial Animal is all set to release tomorrow and will star Ranbir Kapoor, Anil Kapoor, Rashmika Mandanna and Bobby Deol in the lead.
