From Ishaan Khattar’s Pippa to Vicky Kaushal’s Sam Bahadur, RSVP has kept the Indian flag flying high with patriotic films

RSVP Movies is known for its excellence and has been providing some enriching cinematic experience to Bollywood audiences. Established by Ronnie Screwvala in 2017, RSVP Movies is one of the biggest Indian film production and distribution companies. And in the last few years it has delivered some of the best films of Bollywood and continues to entertain with the promise of more. Like Sam Bahadur that releases on December 1. Here are the other top patriotic films produced under the banner. 

 

 

1. Uri: The Surgical Strike: Directed by Aditya Dhar, the film released in 2019 featuring Vicky Kaushal in the role of Major Vihaan Singh Shergill of the Indian Army. It was based on the operation led against the group of militants who attacked a base in Uri, Kashmir, in 2016 causing major loss of lives. The film by RSVP Movies received a lot of appreciation from the audience. The dialogues of the film turned out to be captivating especially Vicky’s famous phrase ‘How’s the josh?’

 

2. Mission Manju: The film is set amidst the Indo-Pakistan war of 1971 and follows the story of a RAW agent who enters Pakistan to prove the country's complicity in nuclear weapons. Directed by Shantanu Bagchi, it released this year and features Sidharth Malhotra and Rashmika Mandanna in the lead roles.

 

 

3. Tejas: Directed by Sarvesh Mewara, the film starred Kangana Ranaut in the role of Tejas Gill and also featured Anshul Chauhan and Varun Mitra in supporting roles. Released on October 27, the film follows the story of Tejas Gill (Kangana) a female pilot whose unbeatable spirit makes her overcome all challenges in the battlefield to become the pride of the country. 

4. Pippa: Starring Ishaan Khattar in the role of Balram Singh Mehta, the film was directed by Raja Krishna Menon and released on November 10. It follows the story of Brigadier Balram Singh Mehta of the 45th Cavalry Tank Squadron who fought during the Indo-Pakistan war of 1971.

 

5. Sam Bahadur: The upcoming directorial of Meghna Gulzar that is set to release on December 1 has already garnered much attention from the audience. And after the release of the trailer, the excitement has been over the top. Starring Vicky Kaushal in the role of Sam Manekshaw, India’s first Field Marshal, the film also stars Fatima Sana Shaikh and Sanya Malhotra.
