Jigarthanda Double X (Tamil) dubbed in Hindi, is a successor of Jigarthanda (2014). Directed by Karthik Subbaraj, the film stars  Raghava Lawrence, Nimisha Sajayan, Shinde Tom Chacko, Naveen Chandra and SJ Suryah in the lead. Ever since the announcement, the film already created a wave of excitement among the audience. The film features Raghava in the role of the gangster, Pandiyan who is a huge fan of Clint Eastwood. On the other side, Suryah portrays the role of Rav Dassan, a film director and assistant to the Satyajit Ray. The film follows a story of the two contrasting individuals, a gangster and a filmmaker (Raghava and Suryah) who decide to team up for the film which is quite unlikely to imagine but surely hooks up and makes one wonder what will be the outcome. What follows after is a rollercoaster of every emotion.

Karthik deserves applause for his selection of everything in the film from the actors to the locations, dialogues and the entire storyline. Every ingredient seems falling on the correct position balancing it up in the entire film. The film big, bold and badass by all means. Considering that Jigarthanda of 2014 was also directed by him, there was a chance that this film would not make it to the level but luckily it did and to a great extent.

The gripping storyline keeps the audience engaged and the twists that follows, especially in the second part of the film, unexpected to say the least, adds up to its cinematic value.

Lawrence delivers a brilliant performance, so  does SJ Suryah. Nimisha Sajayan and Shine Tom Chako and Nimisha excel in their parts.

Kartik's deep love for cinema, combined with western classical musical score and stunning cinematography make the film a perfect entertainer, packed with fireworks.
