Sunny Deol has recently made his comeback to films with Gadar 2 which has received massive love from the audience, becoming the second highest Hindi film grosser of all time. Following the success, the actor is now all set for his next project with director Rajkumar Santoshi and that’s not all, the film will be produced by none other than Aamir Khan!
The official announcement has been made by the Aamir Khan Productions today on the Twitter account with a post confirming the news.

The film is titled Lahore 1947 and will be directed by Rajkumar Santoshi featuring Sunny in the lead. Reports are floating that the film is based on acclaimed Punjabi play, “Jis Lahore Nai Dekhya O Jamyai Nai”. The Asghar Wajahat-written play is set against the backdrop of the 1947 India-Pakistan partition and revolves around a Muslim family that migrates from Lucknow to Lahore.
For the unversed, Sunny and Santoshi have belted hits like Damini, Ghayal etc and Aamir too has delivered one of his career's cult film Andaz Apna Apna with the fillmaker.
