One of the most anticipated films of the year, Jawan finally released yesterday taking over the big screens by storm. With the stellar cast of Shah Rukh Khan, Nayanthara and Vijay Sethupathhi in the lead and featuring actresses from Deepika Padukone to Sanya Malhotra and Ridhi Dogra, the film was welcomed by the masses and how. 

At the end of day 1, Shah Rukh’s film went on to break its own record and has surpassed Pathaan’s first day collection which was released earlier this year. Previously Pathaan made a record by collecting over Rs 57 crores on its first day of release becoming the highest opener but now Jawan has smashed the record. As per the reports, Jawan has collected Rs 125 crores worldwide, becoming the highest first day opener in the history and surpassing the Pathaan’s collection of Rs 108 crores which has been the highest till now. Jawan has minted nearly Rs 75 crores at the domestic box office out of which Rs 10 crores has been made from the Tamil & Telugu verison. 

With such a successful beginning Jawan is all set to break the records and keep ruling over the big screens further.

Directed by Atlee Kumar, the film has been released in five languages.
