The news of Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner separation has been doing rounds since Tuesday after Joe reportedly filed a divorce statement from his wife Sophie after 4 years of marriage. Now, the Game of Thrones actress confirmed the news via her Instagram.
As per reports in international media, the couple has been going through tough times in the last 6 months. Joe, who filed a divorce on Tuesday in Florida, was looking for divorce lawyers a few weeks prior to it.
Sophie, via her Instagram post, has asked to give the couple privacy and mentioned that it has been a mutual decision to end their relationship.
The post mentioned, " Statement from the two of us: ‘After four wonderful years of marriage we have mutually decided to amicably end our marriage. There are many speculative narratives as to why but, truly this is a unites decision and we sincerely hope that everyone can respect our wishes for privacy for us and for our children’."
The couple has two children together and Joe is seeking joint custody for them.
