Shocking breach of faith: Fashion designer Tarun Tahiliani accuses Made In Heaven 2 makers for using his designs without credits

Made in Heaven 2 directed by Zoya Akhtar, Kagti, Alankrita Shrivastava, Neeraj Ghaywan, and Nitya Mehra have been in hot soup since its release. After the Dalit controversy in regards to writer Yashica Dutt, now one of the renowned fashion designers, Tarun Tahiliani, took his Instagram to call out MIH2 makers for denied credits for his work.

Tarun shared in his Instagram stories that his designs in the series were used without giving any credit and called the act an absolute 'breach of faith'. According to him, the designer collection that was shown in the second episode of the series where Kashyap Baldev Shangari plays the fictional designer Akshay Jaiswal is allegedly used from his label!

Tarun shared a photo of Mrunal Thakur dressed in his designs and wrote, "It is most unfortunate when a popular OTT series violates the understanding behind the provision of clothing in the first place! Case in point: Significant portions of the second episode of ‘Made in Heaven,’ were styled using clothes provided by the Tarun Tahiliani studio in good faith to the stylist. Unfortunately, a fictitious designer, representing a fictitious label presented our garments! This is a shocking breach of faith. If this is what the production house intended, they should have engaged a costume designer, had costumes designed, and proceeded as they saw fit. Let’s hope that this scenario does not repeat itself with other designers who have graciously lent their work for OTT productions. Furthermore, it is our hope that such actions will never be considered acceptable in the future."

Interestingly, while Tarun is not pleased with MIH2 team, another popular designer Sabyasachi has not only made his acting debut in the series but all his clothes are duly credited and represented accurately.
