After the success of Welcome (2007) and Welcome Back (2015), makers have finally announced the much-awaiting sequel Welcome 3. The film will be a comedy-drama and will continue carrying forward the humor of the much-loved franchise. Since the announcement, fans have been curious about the star cast of the new film, and the buzz around different names of the actors has been going on. As per the latest reports, Jacqueline Fernandez and Disha Patani have signed up for the film as female leads and will star opposite Akshay Kumar, Sanjay Dutt, and Arshad Warsi.
One of the sources said, "Jacqueline Fernandez and Disha Patani have signed on to play the female leads of this comic caper. Every Welcome film has a conflict around the female protagonist and this one too will stay true to the world of this franchise. Both Jacqueline and Disha will bring in the right amount of confusion to the story." The source further stated that the makers are looking for an actor to portray the role of the antagonist in the film.
The film will be directed by Ahmed Khan and is expected to release in 2024.
