Renowned fashion couturier, Manish Malhotra, is venturing into filmmaking. In 2021, PeepingMoon exclusively informed its readers about his dream of becoming a director. Now, 2 years later, there's some development on his directorial debut. According to a leading publication's report, Manish will be directing the biopic of Meena Kumari.
As per the report, Manish will be making his directorial debut with the biopic starring Kriti Sanon in the lead. The yet-to-be-announced film will be produced under Bhushan Kumar's T-Series. It is still in the scripting stage. In the past, Manish has often expressed that recreating the magic that Meena Kumari was, has been his long-cherished dream.
There's no official confirmation on the same.
Workwise, Kriti was last seen in Adipurush. She will be starring in a film with Shahid Kapoor.
