The teaser of Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani built the right amount of intrigue around the film which marks the directorial comeback of Karan Johar after a gap of 7 years. Now, on Friday, the makers dropped in some stills from the family rom-com. Shedding more light on characters played by Dharmendra, Jaya Bachchan and Shabana Azmi, Dharma Productions left people curious with a plot twist tease.
In a still from Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani, Dharmendra can be seen wearing a floral shirt. Lost in his own thoughts, the veteran actor held on to a red muffler. A similar muffler can be seen with Shabana who was also thinking about something which put a smile on her face. While Dharmendra reportedly plays Ranveer Singh's grandfather, Shabana is said to be Alia Bhatt's grandmother. Is she Dharmendra's old flame? Multiple possibilities opened after the pictures were out.
Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani is about a Punjabi boy named Rocky Randhawa and a Bengali girl named Rani Chatterjee. The film produced by Karan's Dharma Productions will release in theatres on July 28.
