He is presenting Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani, which promises to be a different, modern and fresh take on family entertainers.

The teaser of Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani was released today and we weren't prepared for the visually arresting, emotionally dense and musically royal treat. In 1 minute 19 seconds, Karan took us into the world of Rocky and Rani's (Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt) unique and wholesome 'prem kahaani'. The opening shot of a dance number assures you that Karan's magic is still intact even after 25 years and with renewed energy, the filmmaker is doing what he does best - telling pure, heartfelt, Indian love stories.

It is hard not to crush on Alia's beauty as Rani Chatterjee. Channelling a true blue Bong girl, the actress swirls and twirls in gorgeous sarees and we skipped a heartbeat. That shot of her dressed in a colourful saree standing on a snow-clad mountain is breathtakingly beautiful. While her fashion is on point, Alia will be displaying Rani's vulnerable side too with her acting maturity. However, this time, it seems Rocky's emotional graph could be something to watch out for. Ranveer, known for his flamboyance and quirk, is reflecting the same energy on screen effortlessly. 

Dharmendra, Shabana Azmi and Jaya Bachchan's brief appearances add further stability to the teaser. When we speak of Karan Johar's films, it is an unsaid fact that the audience will be treated to some soul-soothing songs. The teaser gives a glimpse of Arijit Singh's romantic ballad, Tum Kya Mile. Can we have it released right now? The cinematography of Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani justifies the grand world Karan desires to create.
