Did you know Alia Bhatt's MET Gala debut white gown was made with 100,000 pearls?

There was a wave of excitement when the news of Alia Bhatt's MET Gala debut was made official. All eyes were on her as the event took place in the US on Monday, May 1 and May 2 in India. She did not disappoint. Channelling her inner princess, the actress looked like an angel in white.

For her MET Gala debut, Alia wore a pearl-swathed white gown designed by Nepalese–American fashion designer Prabal Gurung. Sharing pictures from the soiree, she revealed her outfit had 1 lac pearls embroidered.

The theme of the MET Gala this year was Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty and paying homage to the fashion designer, Alia completed her look with a fingerless glove.
