Every child has right to be treated with honour and respect: Delhi HC orders 9 YouTube channels to remove content spreading fake news about Aaradhya Bachchan’s health

The Delhi High Court has restrained nine entities running YouTube channels from sharing on platforms across the internet any content related to the health or physical condition of Aaradhya Bachchan, the daughter of Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan.

A single-judge bench of Justice C Hari Shankar ordered in the application moved by Aaradhya seeking interim reliefs against the nine entities who had uploaded the alleged videos. It was ordered, “Defendants 1-9 are restrained forthwith from disseminating or further transmitting the videos relating to URLs enlisted in para 25-26 of the application.”

Justice Shankar also remarked that “every child is to be treated with honour and respect be it a child of a celebrity or a commoner”.
