Nita and Mukesh Ambani treat guests to delicious desi meal at NMACC gala; menu included halwa with Rs 500 notes

Nita and Mukesh Ambani turned hosts for Bollywood and Hollywood celebrities as they inaugurated the Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre (NMACC) at Bandra-Kurla Complex. The celebration took place over 2 days. On Saturday, the Ambanis called for a gala event followed by an after-party. While the gala evening was all about dance and fun, the hosts served a delicious meal to their guests.

The celebrity guests who attended the NMACC gala on Saturday were served a lavish platter of Indian dishes. Right from the seasonal aam ras to rotis, dal, palak paneer, curry, halwa, dessert, papad, and laddoo, the Ambanis made sure their guests left the venue to their stomachs and hearts full. A glass of wine was also served.

In viral pictures from the NMACC gala, a sweet dish item can be seen laden with Rs 500 notes in it. The sweet shown in the picture is called Daulat ki Chaat, a dish that's popular in the Northern region of India. However, the notes were fake. 

The grand opening of the Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre (NMACC) took place on March 31 with the first show of The Great Indian Musical: Civilization to Nation. Celebrities like Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh and several others were present. The gala was attended by international celebrities like Zendaya, Tom Holland, Gigi Hadid and Penelope Cruz.
