Alia Bhatt blasts paparazzi for clicking unauthorised pictures of her, calls it 'gross invasion of someone's privacy'; Bollywood comes out in her support

Alia Bhatt blasted a leading publication and its photographers for invading her privacy. On Tuesday, the publication's Instagram handle carried pictures of the actress in which she can be seen sitting in the living room of her Bandra house. Sharing the post on her Instagram stories, Alia slammed them for crossing the line and even tagged Mumbai Police.

Alia's Instagram story read, "Are you kidding me? I was at my house having a perfectly normal afternoon sitting in my LIVING ROOM when I felt something watching me... I looked up and saw two men on the terrace of my neighbouring building with a camera right at me! In what world is this okay and allowed? This is a gross invasion of someone's privacy! There's a line you just cannot cross and it's safe to say all lines were crossed today!"

Soon after Alia shared the story, Bollywood celebrities came out in her support. While her mother Soni Razdan and sister Shaheen Bhatt slammed the paparazzi for invading her personal space, Karan Johar, Anushka Sharma, Arjun Kapoor and many others criticised the practice of peeping into celebrities' lives.

After Alia's reaction, the publication deleted the post from all their social media handles. As of now, the Mumbai Police is yet to intervene and look into the matter.

Workwise, Alia was last seen in Brahmastra. She is currently on maternity leave and is yet to resume feature film shoots. Her next film is Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani which is directed by Karan Johar. It will release on July 28.
