Not possible to match Irrfan's level of talent but would love to explore Hollywood & see my films being nominated for Oscars: Jaideep Ahlawat on following his idol's footsteps

Jaideep Ahlawat, like millions of us, has been a fan of Irrfan's work and considers himself to be a disciple of the 'Irrfan School Of Acting'. Keeping memories of the actor alive in his mind and heart, he has been paying a tribute to him through some phenomenal projects. Now, as he gears up for the release of An Action Hero, Jaideep spoke to the media during the film's promotion. When asked whether he would like to follow Irrfan's footsteps into Hollywood, Jaideep told PeepingMoon.com that he is open to any kind of work.

"Not just me, the entire world calls Irrfan an idol. It is not possible to follow his footsteps kyunki alag level ke actor rahe hai aur unke jaisa banna mushkil hai. I would love to work in Hollywood. There's nobody in the world who doesn't want global fame. Even I want my films to be nominated for Oscars. As of now, I would love to work in Hollywood, meet new people, experience something different and learn a lot more from them. Maybe, I wouldn't want the same after 20 years, but for now, I do wish to explore Hollywood," Jaideep told.

He further added, "Recently, while talking to someone, I said, "Hum toh film school ke students hai, agar Martin Scorsese ka kisi din call aa jaye ki aap lead role mein ho aur Robert De Niro aapke father ke role mein hai toh accha lagega." It would be an amazing feeling so why not."

An Action Hero also stars Ayushmann Khurrana. The film will release on December 2.
