Anushka Sharma has completed her shoot of her upcoming sports drama Chakda Xpress in Kolkata. The film is a biopic on Indian women cricketer Jhulan Goswami. Now, Anushka has shared several pictures from her time in the city including a photo with daughter Vamika and several delicacies from Kolkata.
Sharing the photo dump on Instagram, Anushka wrote, “Eat-Pray-Love: My Kolkata photo dump!” In the first picture, Anushka can be seen praying on the banks of the Hooghly river, the second picture shows her with Vamika in her arms. The rest of the pictures give a glimpse of the delicacies the actress enjoyed during her short stay which included mishti doi, samosa, chai, rashogolla, sweets and kachori etc.
Chakda Xpress marks Anushka’s comeback to films after four years and after her delivery. She was last seen in Aanand L Rai’s Zero (2018) opposite Shah Rukh Khan and Katrina Kaif. Chakda Xpress is directed by Prosit Roy and is produced by the actress’ brother Karnesh Ssharma under their production banner Clean Slate Filmz.
The film is slated to release on Netflix on February 2, 2023.
