Shanaya Kapoor, Lakshya and Gurfateh Pirzada's Bedhadak not shelved, to go on floors early next year

Several reports claimed that Shanaya Kapoor's debut film, titled Bedhadak, was shelved. Directed by Shashank Khaitan, the film also stars Gurfateh Singh Pirzada and Lakshya. Contrary to reports, Bedhadak hasn't been put on the backburner by Dharma Productions, the production house working on the film. 

Clarifying the same, a statement was issued by the team. Bedhadak will go on floors early next year. Currently, the lead cast of the film, Shanaya, Gurfateh and Lakshya are reading their scripts and are attending workshops before kickstarting the shoot.

Bedhadak was announced on March 3. The first posters of the lead cast were unveiled along with the title. The release date wasn't announced. The film is headlined by newcomers.

Lakshya, formerly known as Laksh Lalvani, has acted in TV shows like Porus. He was to make his big Bollywood debut with Dostana 2. However, after Kartik Aaryan's exit in the middle of the shoot, the film has gone back to the drawing-room. After working as an assistant director on her cousin Janhvi Kapoor's Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl, Shanaya is all set to face the cameras. The young diva started preparing for her acting career several years ago.

Gurfateh is not new to the industry. He played the lead opposite Kiara Advani and Akansha Ranjan Kapoor's Netflix film Guilty
