Lalit Modi confirmed being in a relationship with Sushmita Sen. The founder of the Indian Premier League made the news of their relationship public on Thursday with a post on Instagram. Soon after, they were trolled by a section of netizens. Now, after Sushmita, Lalit has reacted to hate comments on his post. Requesting the media and netizens to 'live and let live', he emphasized giving the right news.
"Why is the media so obsessed abt trolling me apparently 4 wrongly tagging. Can someone explain - I only did 2 pics on insta- & Tag is correct.I GUESS We R still living in the Middle Ages that 2 people can’t be friends & then if chemistry is right & timing is good- Magic can happen. On Thursday, Lalit shared multiple pictures with Sushmita and used the hashtag Better Half which made people believe that they are married. However, he promptly edited the caption and wrote, "Just back in london after a whirling global tour #maldives # sardinia with the families - not to mention my #better looking partner @sushmitasen47 - a new beginning a new life finally. Over the moon. . In love does not mean marriage YET. BUT ONE THAT BY GODS GRACE WILL HAPPEN. I JUST ANNOUNCED THAT WE ARE TOGETHER."
Lalit was married to Minal Modi. In 2018, he lost her to cancer. Aliya Modi and Ruchir Modi are their children. Sushmita has two daughters, Renee and Alisah, whom she adopted.
