Anil Kapoor, Varun Dhawan, Kiara Advani & Neetu Kapoor's Jug Jugg Jeeyo opened with a strong start on Friday. The Raj Mehta directorial has earned Rs. 9.28 crores in its first day. With a strong positive word of mouth, the family entertainer of the season, which also stars Maniesh Paul, and Prajakta Koli, is all set to witness a big jump on Saturday and Sunday!
Film trade analyst Taran Adarsh shared the opening day collections of the film on Twitter. The film revolves around a young married couple, Kukoo Saini & Naina Sharma (Varun Dhawan & Kiara Advani), who plan to separate from each other. However, during their visit to India for Kukoo's sister Ginni's (Prajakta Koli) wedding, he learns that his father Bheem Saini (Anil Kapoor) has an extramarital affair with his math teacher Meera (Tisca Chopra) and wants a divorce from his mother Geeta (Neetu Kapoor) too.
Directed by Raj Mehta, Jug Jugg Jeeyo released in theatres on June 24.
