Priyanka Chopra Jonas along with her group of friends attended Vir Das’ stand-up comedy show in Las Vegas on Friday. The actor took to Instagram to share a series of pictures from her fun day out and applauded Vir for his comic act and being ‘so brave and inspiring’. She also posted a photo with Vir.
The photos show Priyanka waiting in the green room backstage for Vir to join her after the show. Wearing an orange-yellow jacket over grey trackpants and top, Priyanka looked casual and chic. She completed her look with white sneakers and a half-tie top knot. She captioned the pictures, “What a day! With Awesome friends watching an awesome friend do what he does best! @virdas you r so brave and so inspiring to me! Not to mention had me in tears laughing!! Thx for having us! Also love having u in La @pearlthusi come back soon! @cavanaughjames r u finally moving too? Love u too @divya_jyoti.”
Vir also replied to her post and wrote, “Thank you for coming! Thank you for opening all the doors for the rest of us. And thank you for always being awesome and cool and funny! I admire you so much.” The show was organized by Netflix Is A Joke.
Vir also shared photos from his show and wrote, “Biggest comedy festival in the world, to have this crowd, and this ovation in this room, what a privilege! Last year, Vir had courted controversy for his controversial monologue I Come From Two Indias, performed at John F Kennedy Center in Washington. He received backlash from a section of Indian public who felt that he deliberately put a bad image of Indians. He was also nominated in the Best Comedy category at the International Emmy Awards last year.
