Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Nick Jonas announced the arrival of their first child, a baby girl, on January 22 via surrogacy. The star couple is yet to share the first picture of their daughter. On Saturday, Priyanka's mother Dr Madhu Chopra celebrated 14 years of her cosmetic clinic with a party in Mumbai.
During the event, Dr Chopra spoke to the paparazzi. Talking about Priyanka and the newborn baby, she is overjoyed after being promoted to the position of a grandmother. "Nani bani toh bahut bahut khushi hui mujhe I am only smiling all the time. I'm very happy," Dr Chopra said.
She further added that the baby is yet to get an official name. "Abhi nahi rakha hai. Jab pandit naam nikaalege tab hoga. Abhi nahi," she shared.
Informing fans about their daughter's arrival, Priyanka and Nick wrote in a statement, "We are overjoyed to confirm that we have welcomed a baby via surrogate. We respectfully ask for privacy during this special time as we focus on our family. Thank you so much."
