Alia Bhatt brings back audiences back to the theatres as 'Gangubai Kathiawadi' opens at Rs. 10 crore

Basking in the success of her recently released Gangubai Kathiawadi, Alia Bhatt is certainly on cloud nine with all the spectacular reviews and audience response coming in. The actress, who collaborated with Sanjay Leela Bhansali for the very first time for Gangubai Kathiawadi, celebrated the big-screen release of her film by visiting several theatres last night. Now, the first-day box-office collection has come in and looks like, Alia's film has opened to great numbers.

SLB has brought a heroic start to the box office. Despite 50% occupancy in key circuits like Mumbai and Delhi and no night shows in Delhi circuit, the film has performed very well and earned a total of Rs. 10.5 crores on the first day. Good word of mouth is expected to bring in a bigger growth over the weekend.
