The actress, who collaborated with Sanjay Leela Bhansali for the very first time for Gangubai Kathiawadi, celebrated the big-screen release of her film with the media fraternity this afternoon.
Alia joined the media members and paparazzi on an incredible bus journey as she visited different theatres around the city to celebrate the big release of her film. The actress looked gorgeous as she arrived in a white saree, following the theme of her role in the film. Alia's team booked an open deck bus for the actress and the media as they headed out to different locations in Mumbai.
Gangubai Kathiawadi tells the tale of a young girl named Ganga who becomes Gangubai, a madame in the red light area of Kamathipura. It is loosely based on the true story of Gangubai Harjivandas, popularly known as Gangubai Kothewali, whose life was documented in the book 'Mafia Queens of Mumbai' written by S. Hussain Zaidi.
