Mahie Gill, who will be seen in the upcoming web series titled Raktanchal 2, has forayed into politics. The actress has joined Bharatiya Janata Party ahead of the Assembly election in Punjab. She attended a press meet and confirmed being a part of the political party.
In December last year, Mahie had campaigned for Harmohinder Singh Lucky, a Congress candidate from Chandigarh Ward No. 2. The actress had said that Lucky was her childhood friend and she campaigned only to support him. Mahie had reportedly said she had "no plan of joining politics, but could do so in future."
Mahie, known for films like Dev.D, Saheb, Biwi Aur Gangster, Paan Singh Tomar and others, has worked in the Punjabi film industry too. She was last seen in SonyLIV's Your Honor.
