The year is coming to an end and Google, on Wednesday, released the list of top searched trends in the country. The list included names of celebrities from different walks of life like entertainment, sports and many others. Among the most searched personalities were Neeraj Chopra, Shehnaaz Gill, Aryan Khan, Vicky Kaushal and Raj Kundra.
Neeraj, a track and field athlete, made India proud by winning a gold medal at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics. He became the most searched personality on Google India. The 23 years old Haryana boy is said to be the youngest-ever Indian Olympic gold medalist in an individual event and the only one to have won gold in his Olympic debut.
Aryan Khan, Shehnaaz Gill and Raj Kundra took the next three spots after Neeraj. Aryan, the elder son of Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri Khan, was arrested by the Narcotics Control Bureau after conducting a raid on a cruise in October. After spending 27 days in custody, the 23 years old was released.
Shehnaaz, a Punjabi actress who shot to fame with Bigg Boss 13, was among the most searched personalities. She showed immense courage and strength after her good friend Sidharth Shukla's demise and fans extended their support to her. Shehnaaz's film Honsla Rakh grabbed attention and was loved by all. She recently made a rare public appearance after Sidharth's untimely demise when she visited an orphanage in Punjab.
Raj, a businessman and husband of actress Shilpa Shetty, was arrested by Mumbai Crime Branch for his alleged involvement in a pornography case. After spending 2 months in jail, he was granted bail upon furnishing a bond of Rs. 50,000 in September.
Apart from them, celebrities like Vicky Kaushal and Natasha Dalal featured in the Top 10 list. Vicky will be tying the knot with Katrina Kaif in Rajasthan today. It will be a private affair. Natasha, a fashion designer, married her childhood sweetheart, actor Varun Dhawan, in January this year.
