Vicky Kaushal and Katrina Kaif’s wedding is hardly a week away and has got everyone talking. Ahead of their wedding on December 9, every small detail about the impending nuptials is spreading like wildfire on the internet. Now, an online portal has reported about the themes for their pre-wedding festivities.
The pre-wedding festivities will commence at the Six Senses Fort Barwara in Sawai Madhopur, Rajasthan on December 7. Reportedly, the couple, along with their families, will head to Rajasthan on December 6. The themes for the sangeet, mehendi and wedding have been meticulously planned by the couple. As per the online portal, the theme of mehendi will be gold, beige, ivory and white whereas bling is the theme for the sangeet. For the wedding, pastel sorbet is the theme.
Before their traditional wedding in Rajasthan, Vicky and Katrina will be having a registered court marriage under the Special Marriage Act, 1954. A source close to the couple told the portal, “Vicky-Katrina are planning to call the registrar over to the actor's Juhu home to complete the formalities and both the families are expected to be part of this ceremony. They will also have three witnesses present.” Vicky was papped outside Katrina's house last night, probably ironing out last-minute nitty-gritties for the wedding.
Special Marriage Act, 1954 is a central legislation made to validate and register interreligious and inter-caste marriages in India. It allows two individuals to solemnise their marriage through a civil contract. No religious formalities are needed to be carried out under the Act.
